What do you think is Japan’s number one healthy food?
Sushi ? Sashimi ? or Miso soup ?
Actually, Sushi is good for health and very delicious.
I have been enjoying it since childhood.
Especially squid is a favorite.
When I was working for a Japanese restaurant named “KODAMA” in New York
30years ago, Sushi was more popular than Teriyaki and Sukiyaki.
I want to introduce you to one of Japan’s healthy foods.
It means “brown rice”.
Have you ever heard of it ?
Brown rice has 5 times more fiber than white rice.
In addition, brown rice is rich in vitamins and minerals
and it is good for health.
For example, vitamin E, vitamin B group, iron, magnesium,
potassium, manganese, and zinc.
White rice is more popular than brown rice except for
people who are health conscious and who are serious about dieting.
Actually, I usually have white rice much more than brown rice.
Because I had imagined brown rice is too hard to eat.
I met a special brown rice
When I had brown rice at vegan cafe HANADA ROSSO in Harajuku,
I thought that brown rice was really delicious for the first time.
My image of brown rice perfectly changed.

If you like to travel in Tokyo, I recommend that you try “GENMAI GOHAN”
at HANADA ROSSO’s lunch in Harajuku.
There are also many vegan foods.
My recommendation is fried soy meat like fried chicken that
does not use any animal fats and oils.
